How Acupuncture Works to Strengthen Your Health
Acupuncture treats each patient as an individual with their own experiences and particularities, but also as an essential and integrative part of their environment.
Sensations and reactions such as feeling cold, fatigue, allergies or a headache should not be seen as just symptoms. They are complex pathological conditions that should be addressed with medicine that treats and heals the human body, mind and spirit from the inside.
An acupuncture treatment involves using hair-thin sterile needles at various points of the body. This improves the flow of energy (Qi) which helps to relieve pain and heal the body. Acupuncture, combined with Chinese herbal medicine, is effective at preventing disease and preserving wellness by minimizing the body’s vulnerability.
Other TCM Therapies
Depending on the patient and ailment, additional therapies may supplement an acupuncture treatment to increase effectiveness. These therapies include Moxibustion, Cupping, Gua-Sha, Electro-Acupuncture, Intradermal Needle Therapy and Press Balls. Prior to an acupuncture treatment, patients will be provided information about herbal medicine and other TCM therapy options that can be tailored to their needs.
